Incognito Art Show, 2026

Continuing the chair theme, my entries for Incognito, 2026 were two paintings of chairs. The first, "Still Here" recognises the chair as holder memories of those who have come before and whose experiences are still very much a part of the chair. The second, "Between" looks at the chair from a distance, as the person moves on to new worlds and times.

Stranger to the Tropics- Exhibited in Winnipeg 2009

I often wonder what I am doing here in the tropics. I grew up in Canada, where the cold permeated everything and the much anticipated summer was very much short-lived. Here I don't have to wear boots and parkas - I just have to avoid the sun and look for air conditioning.

The Commodification of Childhood

There are many ways that people look at children and childhood. They may see children as innocent and in need of protection, or evil and in need of reform. One construct of childhood that is very damaging to children is the child as commodity - an object to be used for adult pleasure. This series of work, including the art book below, explores the issue of child as Commodity and suggests that the Agentic child is a better way to frame children and childhood.
